Adeleye Selected by Arctics in 2026 CTFL Draft
MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2026

Rookie jumper Deborah Adeleye has taken the next step in her athletic career, being selected 48th overall by the CTFL Arctics in the 2026 Canadian Track and Field League Draft.

Founded in 2022, the CTFL has quickly gained attention as a unique professional-style league for track and field. Now entering its third season, the league features a number of athletes divided across four teams, competing in 10 disciplines over a six-meet season. Athletes earn points individually and for their teams, with standings tracked throughout the season.

Athletes ranked among the best in each event compete for a share of a projected $45,000 prize pool, making the CTFL one of the most competitive domestic opportunities in the sport.
Adeleye joins a select group of athletes drafted into the league this year and will represent the Arctics in the women’s long jump. The selection marks an exciting milestone early in her career and a chance to compete regularly against some of the top athletes in the country.

With the season approaching, all eyes will be on Adeleye as she steps onto the runway in her first CTFL campaign.
