SUNDAY, MAY 10, 2026

Fega Eruotor delivered a breakthrough performance at the America East Indoor Track & Field Championships, becoming the first U20 female Golden Star athlete to break the 24-second barrier in the 200 metres.

Representing the University at Albany, the rookie sprinter opened the championships by winning her heat in a personal best 24.37 seconds, automatically advancing to the final. She returned later in the meet and elevated her performance even further, storming to a massive 23.90-second personal best to finish third overall in the conference final.

Eruotor’s championship campaign extended beyond the 200m. She also placed 7th in the 100 metres and helped Albany capture gold in the 4x100m relay alongside teammates Shenequa Vassell, Shantae Pryce,

and Stephanie Weiner.

The performances capped off an exceptional championship meet for both Eruotor and the University at Albany program, while further establishing the young sprinter as one of the rising talents in the NCAA ranks.
